    Abstract
For the past years, Antidumping (AD) and Countervailing (CV) duties have reshaped the competitive environment in the industry. AD and CV are used to discourage the demand for products deemed to be import sensitive by the United States Department of Commerce (DoC), and, are both used to protect the U.S manufacturing industry from extraneous underselling of U.S. manufacturers.

AD and CVD duties compensate for the damaging effects of goods imported at less than fair market value on the U.S. economy, however, it can become a costly responsibility for the importer.

In this LIVE Webcast, attorneys Mr. John Peterson (Neville Peterson) and Ms. Julia K. Eppard (Hughes Hubbard and Reed) will provide the audience with an in-depth analysis of the fundamentals as well as recent developments in Antidumping and Countervailing Duties. As experts, they will present the important issues surrounding this significant topic and they will also identify key strategies to help avoid common pitfalls and risk issues in dealing with imported merchandise subject to AD/CVD duties.

    Key topics include:
    • Antidumping and Countervailing Duties – An Overview
    • Calculating and Determining ADD and CVD
    • ADD and CVD Cost
    • Common Risks and Pitfalls and How to Address Them
