JCHC Announces the Establishment of the Lester Capital Campaign

  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) December 02, 2022 - The Jewish Community Housing Corporation of Metropolitan New Jersey (JCHC) announces the establishment of the Lester Capital Campaign, an initiative to raise 11.3M dollars for renovations and improvements that benefit seniors at the Lester Senior Housing Community in Whippany, New Jersey. The JCHC is actively seeking financial support from the Greater MetroWest Jewish Community for this campaign. The Lester Capital Campaign will fund renovated and expanded indoor and outdoor spaces, upgraded living spaces, and amenities. These include improved access to onsite medical care in a newly renovated medical suite, apartment updates, dining and entertainment updates and much more. These enhancements will improve the lives of senior residents, while continuing to provide a range of quality lifestyle options, superior amenities and enhanced services for years to come.

    The Lester Senior Housing Community incorporates the best parts of what the JCHC does for Greater MetroWest’s senior population. Opened in 2000 and located on the Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus in Whippany, Lester has 172 units, comprised of 120 independent living apartments and 52 assisted living residences, including a 12-unit memory care suite, and has both market-rate and affordable options for low-income seniors living on a fixed income.
