Jamie Howell of Saltwater Signworks Expands Local Business Leadership With North Brunswick Chamber Board Role

The Wilmington business owner adds the Chamber role to her growing involvement in the Cape Fear and Brunswick County business communities.
- (1888PressRelease) September 15, 2026 - WILMINGTON, N.C. - Jamie Howell, Owner and President of Saltwater Signworks, has joined the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, where she will serve a three-year term supporting the organization and northern Brunswick County’s business community. The new role adds to Howell’s growing involvement in regional business leadership. She also serves as an At-Large Director on the 2026 Board of Directors for Cape Fear Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). Howell was recognized as one of six incoming North Brunswick Chamber board members during the Chamber’s Annual Dinner on June 23 at the Leland Cultural Arts Center. The event also recognized local businesses, professionals, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders and introduced the Chamber’s incoming leadership.
“As a Cape Fear native, it means a lot to me to see the growth happening in northern Brunswick County and to be part of supporting the businesses and people who are helping shape that growth,” Howell said. “As a business owner myself, I know how important it is to have a Chamber that truly supports, connects, and advocates for its members. I’m excited to bring both my corporate and small-business experience to the Board, while learning from such a diverse and passionate group of people who bring so many different ideas and perspectives to the table. My hope is that, over the next three years, I can contribute in a meaningful way and help leave the Chamber even stronger than I found it.”
The Board role also connects closely with the communities Saltwater Signworks serves. The Wilmington-based company works with businesses throughout Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender counties, including communities such as Leland, Belville, Southport, and Shallotte.
Expanding Her Role in the Regional Business Community
Howell’s North Brunswick Chamber term follows her selection to the Cape Fear CREW Board of Directors for 2026. Cape Fear CREW focuses on advancing women in commercial real estate, while the North Brunswick Chamber supports businesses, nonprofits, government organizations, and individuals throughout northern Brunswick County. Together, the roles give Howell opportunities to work with business owners, commercial real estate professionals, and community partners across areas closely connected to Saltwater Signworks’ home market.
Howell brings a background in customer service, training, and relationship development to those roles. Before founding Saltwater Signworks with Ben Howell in November 2022, her career included customer-facing and training positions that emphasized service, communication, and helping people navigate business processes. That background has also shaped Saltwater Signworks’ approach to working with local companies. Rather than focusing solely on sign production, the company helps business owners navigate planning, local code requirements, design, permitting, materials, fabrication coordination, and installation.
