  • (1888PressRelease) April 02, 2013 - Karamanti, the woman many refer to as the queen of positive dancehall, is about to release her debut album (entitled, "Dancehall Retaliates") on April 25th, 2013. In preparation for the release, the artist and her team have spent a considerable amount of time researching what made Sean Paul's "Dutty Rock" record such a huge success.

After carefully analyzing everything available to the public, Karamanti has committed to making similar moves. She notes that she is not in a position to do everything, from a marketing stand point, exactly the same, as she is an independent artist lacking the financial backings of a major investor or a record company. None the less, she is determined to do what she can to put dancehall music back on top.

A lot of emphasis was placed on ensuring that the music, which is 100% dancehall, is current, high energy and relatable. She even made sure that most of the production was done by two of Jamaica's young hot dancehall producers, Red Boom and Digital Sham.

Karamanti leaves Jamaica on April 22nd for her European album promo tour. The official CD launch party and performance will be at Club Dee Vibez in Gothenburg, Sweden on April 26th. Following the European tour, she will head straight to Canada where the focus will again be on promoting the album.
