Jaipur Shopping Festival Live Painting at Crystal Mall
This Festive Season kicks off with the onset of Navratras and Jaipur Shopping Festival, an initiative of Rajasthan Patrika, organized by International Fairs & Festivals Pvt. Ltd, started from 16th October brings extravaganza of every sort for everyone and it will continue till mid-November with events and activities that spread over a month.
- (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2012 - Live Painting is one of the events under the umbrella of Jaipur Shopping Festival, happening at Crystal Palm from 16th October. The event sets the perfect opportunity to see the artist demonstrating Live Painting amidst the hustle-bustle at Crystal Palm, one of the big malls of Jaipur. Pakistani artist, Syed Phool Badshah, is painting live a distinct Pakistani folk art Truck Art expressing cutural identity by conveying shared community values and aesthetics. He can be seen sitting composed & engrossed in the exuberant and flamboyant painting. The idea is to bring this lesser known beautiful and intricate art to general public interest and gain recognition it richly deserves.
The Tribal Truck Art will be available to see at Crystal Palm during the day, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, till 19th October. This event is free and open to public. It is a unique Pakistani Art that showcases everyday objects, utilitarian as well as decorative, that have been painted in line with one of the country's long standing traditions, representing the creativity and aspiration of a large number of Pakistanis. In Pakistan, this stunning visual signature can be seen on trucks driving across the city.
Tribal Truck Art, as an expression of Pakistan`s traditional culture, is usually connected in some way with the everyday life of the truckers. Ordinary lamps, lanterns, mugs, kettles, trays, boxes, watering cans, buckets etc become collectable home accessories. Media such as wood ,metal , steel ,reflective tape , luminous plastic sheet etc is used by the artists.
A number of artists will participate in Jaipur Shopping Festival which features Music Festival, Band Concerts, Kavi Sammelan, Craft Bazaar, Fashion Show and random acts of art and celebrates the artistic riches.
