  • (1888PressRelease) November 11, 2010 - Orlando, Fla. - During the month of October, Jackson Therapy Partners stepped up to the challenge with a new company-wide program, Steps to Success.

"Step" 1: The office was broken into teams and each team chose a charity to represent. Organizations represented included Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida, Central Florida Children's Home, Toys for Tots Brevard County, Grassroots.org, Central Florida Coalition for the Homeless, Mustard Seed of Central Florida, Smile Train, Special Olympics and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

"Step" 2: Each participant received a pedometer which was worn daily for four weeks to log their steps. At the end of each week, their total steps were calculated and the team with the highest average received a prize for the week.

"Step" 3: At the completion of the program, the three teams with the highest cumulative average received a cash prize to be donated to their charity.

Jackson Therapy's president and CEO, Scott L'Heureux, commented on the program, stating, "We wanted a program that would jump start an individual lifestyle change in our employees while working as a team towards a greater good. At the end of the program, our employees had walked more than 11 million steps and three distinguished organizations benefited from our sore feet!"

Organizations benefiting from the program are Mustard Seed of Central Florida, the Special Olympics and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida. For more information on Jackson Therapy Partners and the Steps to Success program, visit http://www.jacksontherapy.com/.
