  • Sarasota-Bradenton, FL (1888PressRelease) May 07, 2012 - Fans of the pure voice of youth in lyrical operatic arias and art songs are in for a treat with young artist, Jackie Stotler as the Beauty in "The Beauty, The Phantom and Music of the Night",. She joins with Orlando's Piano Man, Peter George as the Phantom, singing classics from The Great American Songbook.

    Highlighting the evening, Jackie and Peter will perform famous duets such as "When I Fall in Love" made famous by Doris Day and Johnny Mathis, "All I Ask of You" from Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "Phantom of the Opera", and "You Raise Me Up" made famous by Josh Groban.

    "We are delighted to bring back the extraordinary young talent Jackie Stotler," says the Glenridge Performing Arts Center's Manager, Ben Turoff. "Audiences loved her when she soloed with the Sarasota Concert Band. Her voice is pure, innocent and powerful." "And when you hear her sing," Turoff continues, "you'll think you're listening to an angel."
    Jackie will perform an artistic program ranging from the art song "Nuit d'Etoiles" by Debussy and the light opera aria "Deh Vieni, Non Tardar" by Mozart … to "If I Loved You" from the musical, Carousel and "The Black Swan" from the 20th century opera, The Medium by Menotti.

    Peter George will entertain audiences with Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon" and "The Way You Look Tonight"; Elton John's "Your Song" and "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me"; and Billy Joel's "Piano Man" and "NY State of Mind".

"His stylish vocals and flashy keyboard work have made him a top "piano man" in the upscale Orlando establishments and private events from Key West to New York City". "He's a singer-songwriter, producer and recording artist."

    There will be a "Meet The Artists Reception" immediately following the concert for all ticket holders to attend. "The Beauty, The Phantom And The Music of the Night" concert is co-sponsored by the Sarasota Concert Band and is open to the public on Saturday, May 19th at 8 pm in The Glenridge Performing Arts Center at 7333 Scotland Way, Sarasota, FL 34238.
