  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) May 26, 2021 - Venice Beach's "house band" of the 1990s, The J-Gos, have teased the upcoming release of a new album, "Never Mind The Stroganoff, It's The J-Gos!," featuring never-before-heard songs from their 1990s heyday in the halcyon days of the dangerous, rollicking, and relentlessly creative Venice Beach music scene of the 1990s.

After the unexpected success of their recent album, "Venice Beach Blues," on outlets such as Spotify and iTunes, "releasing these tracks just seems like the obvious next step," said the band's founder and lead singer, the Mysterious Canadian. "Most of our fans know these songs, but only a few have tapes of them from our shows back in the day at the Terrace, Snow's Oasis, and The Crab Shell. This will give them an opportunity to hear the original versions as they were conceived at our recording studio, 2703." A studio which, the Canadian admits, was nothing more than a "hollowed-out bottom of a duplex where we and our friends squatted, partied, and created like our lives depended on it. Many of my friends are dead."

The new album is expected to be released later in 2021 on J-Go Records and will be available worldwide.
