Equipo IVI is the world's foremost provider of fertility care services. IVI headquartered in Valencia, Spain has 35 clinics across Europe, America and India. The IVI Group is at the forefront of clinical research in the area of Reproductive Medicine and Genetics. IVI Spain has been responsible for over 95,000 successful pregnancies worldwide.

IVI has achieved amongst the highest success rates in the world. IVI is one of the very few institutions that undertake "fundamental research" in the area of Reproductive Medicine. IVI has a numbers of patents in its portfolio including unique techniques and testing methodologies that incorporate its proprietary research and make it a world leader. IVI has numerous specialists who are regarded amongst the foremost practitioners of IVF treatment in the world. The IVI group employs 155 physicians and 1375 medical staff worldwide. IVI's goal is to set up 5 IVF clinics in the Middle East by mid 2017.

IVI has partnered with Professor (Dr.) Human Fatemi (Medical Director, IVI GCC) to set up its first GCC clinic, here in Abu Dhabi. Dr Human Fatemi has over fifteen years of experience at the University of Brussels and is the only European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) accredited doctor in the region. It is our shared vision to be the best-in class in the field of Infertility treatments in the region. Our core ethos is patient satisfaction and safety. Suresh Soni, Chairman, IVI GCC said "This clinic brings together renowned specialists with state-of-the-art technologies including advanced procedures, sophisticated medical equipment and facilities all under one roof."

The GCC has an estimated 6 to 7 Million infertile couples in the 20-40 age group. Infertility is as much a social problem as it is a health issue. The Middle East region has unique causes for infertility including consanguinity, Vitamin D Deficiency and a high prevalence of Obesity/diabetes. With increasing awareness, infertility treatments are becoming more acceptable across all communities. In spite of over 30% growth in IVF cycles in the last 3 years, the GCC has amongst the least number of IVF treatment cycles as compared to developed and emerging countries. IVF Treatment represents both a big opportunity as well as a huge challenge in the GCC. The challenges include access to the latest technology, research, training, infrastructure, equipment, drugs, internationally accepted protocols, and non standard pricing. Case in point, there is no university course for training doctors or embryologists in the GCC.

From a patient perspective, our endeavor will be to provide the very best fertility care at affordable prices.

Added Dr. Human Fatemi Medical Director, IVI GCC: "Over the past few years, the uptake of artificial methods to conceive has increased exponentially in the Middle East especially among the urban population. This is primarily due to the ever-evolving lifestyle patterns such as obesity & diabetes, Vitamin D deficiency, late marriages and other disorders. While the fertility market in the GCC is growing there is a clear need to address some pressing issues such lack of standardized clinical protocols, structured training, quality laboratories, qualified embryologists and ethical practices."

Professor Antonio Pellicer, President, IVI, said "As a patron of quality healthcare services, IVI recognises infertility as a growing lifestyle hazard, not only in the GCC but globally. It has been our constant endeavour to assist more and more couples and individuals fulfill their dream of starting a family by providing the most advanced fertility treatment in accordance with international guidelines coupled with the right technology."

IVI's contribution will include providing medical staff, its proprietary technology, SOPs, software, training, and establishing a research centre in Abu Dhabi along the lines of its research arm, the IVI Foundation. By investing in the latest technology, equipment and training,

IVI provides doctors with an excellent environment to deliver the best clinical outcomes. Best in Class service comes through world class training and adopting the best clinical protocols.

In the long term, IVI aims to jointly set up a training centre for IVF Specialists, Embryologists, clinical staff and service professionals in the GCC region. The medical staff in the region will periodically visit IVI facilities in Spain to benefit from the most recent technological advancements. Our doctors shall also conduct joint research and publications with IVI doctors.
