Iowa Insurance Department Implements New LTC And Annuity Training Requirements
Effective January 1, 2010, all Iowa Long-Term Care (ltc) Producers will be required to complete the one-time, initial 8 credit hour LTC training prior to engaging in any long-term care insurance sales activity.
- Iowa City, IA (1888PressRelease) August 12, 2010 - Approved Insurance CE provider, Broker Educational Sales & Training, Inc. (BEST), informs Iowa producers that effective January 1, 2010, all Iowa Long-Term Care (ltc) Producers will be required to complete the one-time, initial 8 credit hour LTC training prior to engaging in any long-term care insurance sales activity. LTC Producers who have not completed a total of 8 credit hours of qualifying training, on or before 12/31/09, will be required to complete the entire one-time 8 credit hour LTC training requirement in a classroom setting. LTC Producers will then be required to complete a 4 credit hour ongoing LTC course every compliance period thereafter.
Effective January 1, 2011, all Iowa Insurance Producers selling or soliciting annuity products will be required to complete 4 credit hours of Annuity training. (ONLY HALF of the producer's 36 required credits can be obtained through Self-Study.)
