  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) December 17, 2010 - A record of nearly 200 commercial real estate professionals attended the annual holiday party of the Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of the New York Area Inc. (IOREBA), held at Highlawn Pavilion. A meeting of the organization's board preceded the main event, which also featured a 50/50 raffle to benefit Toys for Tots.

"It was a wonderful evening of networking and speaking to the guests; we received the impression that people were getting busier and feel optimistic about 2011," said Sean Brady, President of IOREBA and Senior Director of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. "The evening's vibe was very positive, and as always, members of IOREBA demonstrated their generosity and contributed a large sum of money for the 50/50 benefiting Toys for Tots."

Event sponsors for the evening were Kwartler Associates, Environmental Strategies and Applications, Intelligent Building Solutions, Investors Savings, and Furniture X Changes. Gold sponsors were Aztec Architecture, Douglas J. Kelly Associates, Heller Industrial Parks, and Rakow Commercial Realty.

At the event, Brady introduced IOREBA's new Market Research Report web portal. As the soft launch for members of IOREBA, he explained that this section of the organization's web site will provide the state's top, up-to-date Commercial Real Estate Office and Industrial Quality Report, the only single real estate source of quarterly market reports covering Northern and Central New Jersey. This important resource for real estate brokers, developers, investors, appraisers and brokers will officially be launched in January 2011.

"We also have a number of important events to look forward to," said Brady. "In January, we will co-host an event at the New York Athletic Club featuring an address by David Zimmer, President of Zimmer Real Estate Services of Kansas City, Mo and the national President to SIOR. We will co-host this event with SIOR-NJ, SIOR-NYC and Down State and the CCIM New York Metro Chapter, making this a great networking event for all participants from the four trade associations.

"Then in March, we will host our 25th Annual Office Developer and Investor Night at the Glenpointe Marriott in Teaneck, benefiting our Scholarship Fund for the Real Estate program at Monmouth University," said Brady. "At that event, we will also introduce a new broker/vendor awards program."

With roots dating back to 1927, IOREBA is one of the nation's largest regional commercial real estate groups, growing to more than 300 members conducting business in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. The organization has continually expanded its offerings, designing more useful programs, and teaming with co-hosts for several events to improve the networking environment. To assist members in difficult economic times, IOREBA has also cut costs for events and membership to ensure that members are able to take full advantage of everything the organization has to offer.
