    • A first-of-its-kind online contest for students, where winners will get an internship offer from leading companies
    • In addition to internships, winners will also receive prizes worth lakhs

Speaking about the contests, Sarvesh Madhu Aggarwal, CEO, Internshala said," We, in India have an ad-hoc culture surrounding internships. We recently did a survey at our portal with 507 students from leading colleges, and found out that only 34% of respondents had found their internship through campus placement. Majority relied on individual search, personal and family contacts to find internships. We, at Internshala believe that internships, if managed well, can make a positive difference to the student, to the employer, and to the society at large. The launch of 'Internfair' is a step in the same direction. Through this contest, we not only want to give students a platform to showcase their intelligence and creativity, but to win internships at prestigious companies."

The month long fair will have 6 contests - Business Case Competition, Social Media Challenge, App Design Contest, Teach for India Internship Challenge, NSEF Young Thought Leaders Challenge and Online Treasure Hunt. Each event will have a specific set of challenges and competition put up by the partnering organizations for students to solve and be eligible to be considered for the internship. For instance, the Business Case Competition, will have a live problem given to students to come up with innovative business strategies; Social Media Challenge would require a student to create an "unconventional CV" along with a write up on his/her dream internship, App Design is for all the Android and Facebook app enthusiasts and so on…

Final winners for each event will be decided by a panel comprising of representatives from the partnering companies and Internshala.
