  • Baltimore, MD (1888PressRelease) May 22, 2014 - INO.com, Inc., a website that provides quotes, charts, news and analysis for stock, futures, forex, ETF and mutual fund traders, participated in Blitz Day, Rebuilding Together of Anne Arundel County's annual mass repair project, on May 3, 2014. INO.com employees and their spouses rolled up their sleeves to repair the home of a low-income family in Severn, Maryland.

INO.com launched their monthly charity campaign in January of 2014. In this first corporate program of its kind, INO Cares selects one nonprofit organization per month to receive a monetary donation. Since the beginning of this year, INO.com has sent donations to the South County Assistance Network (SCAN), the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.

While most of the INO Cares projects have simply been monetary donations, INO.com owners, Adam Hewison and David Maher, wanted to offer employees more of a hands-on role in charitable projects. "It's easy to simply write a check and feel like you've helped someone, but to me, donating your time and energy means so much more," says David Maher. "We have some amazing employees and we knew that if we offered them the opportunity to give back to the community, they would jump at the chance."

Almost half of the INO.com employees showed up on Saturday, May 3, 2014 with their respective spouses. Working from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., employees grabbed paint rollers and tools and got to work. The home they repaired was that of Angela Brown, a single mother that was experiencing financial hardships and was unable to afford some basic home repairs. Ms. Brown was selected by the Rebuilding Together of Anne Arundel County committee based on financial and personal need and the repair project was funded by INO.com, as well as local businesses in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Adam Hewison, President and Co-owner of INO.com, remarks, "I am so impressed by the Rebuilding organization and the generosity of our employees to spend their Saturday helping someone else in our community. I hope INO.com can continue to participate in Blitz Day for years to come."
