  • (1888PressRelease) October 02, 2015 - More than 10,000 children in Nigeria are being cared and provided for by Christ Embassy International. This is according to Pastor Siji Darah, the zonal head of the ministry in Warri. He was addressing a press conference during the church's 2015 Reach Out Nigeria project. The children, including 57 from Warri, are part of Christ Embassy's InnerCity Mission program. One of the beneficiaries of the ICM initiative is Mrs. Oluchukwu Nwosu a widow and mother of three children of school-going age. Her kids attend the ICM Nursery and Primary School where they get quality education without her having to pay a dime.

Nwosu is happy not just because of the financial relief ICM affords her, she is delighted by the changes she has noticed in her children since they started attending school. "I noticed that my children started looking healthier and smarter…they are also now more intelligent." The Inner City Missions for Children of Christ Embassy also offer free meals to the children; this could explain the healthy look their mother speaks of.

Over and above providing for the physical and educational needs of Nigeria's children, Christ Embassy International aims to nourish the country's population spiritually. For this reason the ministry will be distributing millions of copies of Rhapsody of Realities in Warri and across the nation in celebration of Nigeria's 55th Independence anniversary. Rhapsody of Realities is a handy daily devotional and a bible study guide authored by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD who recently was honored by the Ambrose Alli University with a doctorate degree for his humanitarian works among other things. Besides the inspirational messages geared to get readers going every day, the booklet, also known as the 'Messenger Angel' contains updates on the church' various ministries.
