There is this old grandmother who awaits the summer vacations as her grandchildren come to see her every year. She is a widow and stays in Istanbul; she has been living in this village for decades. She is bedridden since a long time and has been look after by her servant Recep, who is a dwarf and the doctor's illegitimate son. She has three grandchildren, the eldest is Faruk a historian, working as an associate professor, Middle one is Nilgun the only sister of the two brothers, she is a sociology student and Metin the youngest brother of all three a high school student with a dream of going to America and becoming a rich man.

    They all come here for a week to spend some time with their grandmother. Faruk, collects all old newspapers and find some good news for research, Metin goes to meet his friend Vedant and he falls in love with a girl in that group. Nilgun and Hassan are childhood friends. Hassan is Recep's brother. Hassan is in love with Nilgun and wants to tell her but is not able to. He tells his friends about his feeling for Nilgun, bu they don't support him. Instead they plan to harass her. Meanwhile Hassan plans to tell everything of his friends plans, but she does not listen instead calls him a fascist. Hasan is angry and take out his anger on Nilgun. What happens next? Does Nilgun do anything about it? Do her brothers know of it?
