  • (1888PressRelease) July 16, 2014 - Bristol, UK - For the first time at Interplas, Imetrum will be demonstrating its video extensometer measurement system, widely believed to be the only video extensometer capable of achieving the exacting requirements of ISO527-1: 2012 ASTM D638 equivalent. Demonstrations will be held on Stand J48 throughout the show and specialists will be on hand to answer any questions regarding this innovative new system.

Designed for use with tensile universal testing machines, Imetrum's system comprises a controller with sophisticated Video Gauge software, one or more high-resolution digital video cameras and an appropriate lens for the application. Also included are a voltage output module for interfacing with traditional strain channels, lighting and tripod. The system is straightforward and intuitive to use and has many distinct advantages over traditional contact methods, such as clip-on extensometers and strain gauges.

Visitors to the stand will also be able to preview Imetrum's latest extensometer module system, designed specifically for high volume test environments. This new product, due for launch in November, features a simplified design, extensive automation and rapid set-up that makes this versatile new model an ideal choice for routine sample test regimes. More information will be available at the show.
