  • (1888PressRelease) September 23, 2011 - Trenton, NJ - Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New Jersey (IIABNJ) announced today the addition of a Conference Day Pass at the October Annual Business Meeting & Networking Event. The New Jersey Conference brings together independent insurance agents, company representatives, and industry vendors for two days to network, discuss issues currently affecting their businesses, and gain CE credits.

The conference, which opens on Sunday, October 16th and concludes Tuesday morning, is offering agents the option to register just for Monday's educational program at the 2011 event. The Monday program includes two CE Seminars (two credits per), lunch, and the opening breakfast session featuring the Consumer Agent Portal (CAP) overview, a new initiative funded, in part, by IIABA and announced to the public on September 20th.

"Agents look to IIABNJ's Annual Conference for valuable education, as well as the chance to network with their peers," said Sheri Acconzo, President/CEO for IIABNJ. "By including the option to just attend the Monday program, we are making it possible for agents to get the education and CE credits they need in just one business day."

The 2011 IIABNJ Annual Business Meeting & Networking event is being held at Skytop Lodge in Skytop Pennsylvania, just under 90 minutes from many New Jersey counties.

"The CAP Overview alone is reason to register," Acconzo said. "The web solution being developed by Project CAP is going to change the game for independent agents. Our session is going to be the first in NJ to explain how the system will work, what agents need to participate, and how it will help them compete - and win - the online market share for auto insurance."

Independent agents and brokers interested in attending the conference can find more information on IIABNJ's website at www.iiabnj.org. Agents do not need to be a member of IIABNJ to attend.
