  • (1888PressRelease) May 21, 2014 - LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. - Carlos Jiménez, founder of the IEEE e-Government initiative and chair of the IEEE Computer Society e-Gov STC, as well as head of strategy of IEEE Spain, will lead a tutorial on Open and Smart Government. In addition, Luis Teran, assistant doctor at the Information Systems Research Group at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland and an e-Gov STC board member, will discuss the SmartParticipation platform. Tom Schenk, director of analytics and chief data officer of the Chicago City Council, will also talk a about Chicago's open government initiatives.
