  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) December 29, 2018 - Following their 50th Anniversary Tour, the profoundly influential Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will take the stage at Mill Town Music Hall on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 7:30pm EST. With multi-platinum and gold records, strings of top ten hits such as "Fishin' In The Dark" and "Mr. Bojangles," multiple Grammys, an IBMA award, CMA awards and nominations, the band's accolades continue to accumulate. Country music star Ashton Shepherd will open the show. Mill Town Music Hall, focusing on family-friendly music and events, is located conveniently off I-20 in Bremen (1031 Alabama Avenue).

    The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s 1972 groundbreaking album "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" has been inducted into the U.S. Library of Congress and the Grammy Hall of Fame. The song "Mr. Bojangles" was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2010. In 2014, "Fishin' In The Dark" was certified platinum for digital downloads by the RIAA.

    Now in its 52nd year, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (Jeff Hanna, Jimmie Fadden, Bob Carpenter) is continuing to tour. On September 14th, 2015 the band along with some close friends played to a sold-out crowd at the historic Ryman Auditorium. The film of the 50th Anniversary Special show began airing on PBS in March of 2016 and earned a 2016 Emmy award for Special Event Coverage at the Mid-South Regional Emmy Awards.
