  • Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) November 17, 2011 - The Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP) recently presented I Imagine Studio with a prestigious MarCom Award for its outstanding work on the ThisClose.net microsite, an online component of Rotary International's global campaign to eradicate polio.

I Imagine was the recipient of the competition's highest honor, the esteemed Platinum Award, which is presented to the entries judged to be among the most outstanding in the competition. Platinum Award winners are recognized for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity and resourcefulness.

I Imagine's entry, an interactive microsite, was created as part of Rotary International's effort to further heighten global awareness of polio and garner support for its polio eradication initiatives by encouraging and enabling people around the world to become part of the This Close campaign.

The site allows visitors to create their own This Close ads by selecting a silhouette, adding their name and picture, and adjusting skin and background colors to their preference. Once customized, the ads can be shared via social networks, emailed or saved to visitors' computers. Visitors can also leaf through an interactive book to view a gallery of user-customized ads and scan the world map to determine users from which countries have participated the most.

I Imagine's microsite was one of over 6,000 entries in this year's MarCom Awards. The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.

"It is an honor to be recognized for such an esteemed industry award," said Account Executive Yulia Kurdina. "With such a high level of competition, I believe it is a testimony to the creativity, strategic thinking and hard work that went into the This Close campaign."
