  • (1888PressRelease) June 01, 2013 - New Delhi - Hyatt Regency Delhi announces the appointment of Aseem Kapoor as new General Manager, succeeding Timothy Bruce. He rejoins the property where he once worked in the capacity of Director of Food and Beverage.

    Aseem Kapoor was most recently General Manager of Hyatt Regency Mumbai. A hospitality veteran with over twenty years of experience, he began his career as a management trainee with Holiday Inn, Mumbai in 1989. He has been affiliated with Hyatt since 1995 when he was first appointed Assistant Director Food and Beverage at Hyatt Regency Delhi. In 1997 he rose to the level of Director of Food and Beverage. His distinguished tenure in Delhi is witnessed by many accolades and recognitions won by the hotel. Some that are worth a mention are - "La Piazza wining the Best Italian Restaurant in India award" together with the "Most Hygienic Kitchens in India" award and the "Best Director of F&B" recognition from FHRAI. The team under his guidance also won the "Best run F&B department award" from Hyatt International.

    Following his successful tenure in Delhi, three years down the line in 2001, he took up an assignment as Executive Assistant Manager Food & Beverage at Hyatt's first hotel in Mumbai, Hyatt Regency Mumbai. He subsequently rose to the level of resident manager and during this term in Mumbai he also assisted the pre-opening support team of Hyatt Regency Kolkata for three months.

    With good amount of pre opening experience, he joined Park Hyatt Dubai in 2005 as Resident Manager. He was closely involved in the launch and operations of this 225 rooms and 4 restaurant hotel till May 2008. His last assignment was with Hyatt Regency Mumbai as General Manager.

    Prior to his affiliation with Hyatt he was associated with The Oberoi Mumbai, where he was exposed to the hotels catering and sales operations for almost five years from the time of his joining the property in 1990.

    His background in the industry gives him an exceptional understanding of hospitality operations in various sub-divisions and of the Hyatt brand's product and service standards. These are the qualities that make him a valuable leader and a recipient of Hyatt Hotels' highest recognition.
