  • (1888PressRelease) August 08, 2017 - Shanghai, China – Hutong School, a Chinese language school providing intensive Chinese language and internship programs throughout Asia, Europe, and Australia has celebrated its 12th Anniversary.

On July 29th, 2017 Hutong School hosted a Block Party in honor of our 12th Anniversary. It was a day filled with entertainment, cultural activities, food, and drinks, and raffle prizes. We were honored that the Shanghai community came out to join us and raised a glass to our 12 years of existence!

The day started off with VR, with guests putting on their VR headsets and immersing themselves in a whole new world. We also had one of our sponsors, GuavaPass there leading fitness games along with prize giveaways. For those that preferred a more low key activity, we also had calligraphy, dumpling making, mahjong, and kung fu for kids too!

It wouldn’t have been a summer block party without BBQ! With guest munching on finger licking good grilled meats and veggies while washing it down with a nice cold draft beer. Once they got their fill of BBQ they made their way over to Mr. Waffle’s booth to help satisfy their sweet tooth and take them on a journey to foodie paradise.

With food and drinks winding down, guests were ready to try their hand at winning our raffle prizes that were donated by our amazing sponsors. They included aroma oil massages from Dragonfly Massage, generous vouchers from Sherpa’s, all you can eat and drink vouchers from Sofia Pizza, fitness classes from GuavaPass, and many more!

It was a spectacular night filled with amazing food and drinks, a great deal of fun, and generous support from the Shanghai community.
