  • Syracuse, NY (1888PressRelease) July 27, 2011 - Two of the world's leading suppliers to the humanitarian fleet market have united to deliver a fully integrated software and satellite asset tracking and management solution to international NGOs.

After meeting at this year's Fleet Forum conference in Geneva, global fleet management system provider, Chevin Fleet Solutions and satellite asset tracking solution company GlobalTrack, will now offer a one-stop-shop for humanitarian fleets.

Managing director of Chevin, Ashley Sowerby, commented: "Since Chevin was established over twenty years ago, it has worked with some of the world's most acclaimed NGOs. Our new partnership with GlobalTrack enables us to share this expertise and offer our client base the complete solution for their fleets."

Both companies have unmatched experience improving the performance of high profile fleets within the international aid sector. The partnership will see Chevin's renowned web-based FleetWave software combined with GlobalTrack's state-of-the-art vehicle tracking technology.

A real-time data feed from GlobalTrack's on-vehicle telematics units will automatically update fleet information within FleetWave. Details on asset location and mileage will be seamlessly integrated from vehicle tracking technology and FleetWave, significantly reducing manual input to facilitate accurate reporting.

Pieter Smits, CEO of GlobalTrack, added: "We share many clients with Chevin, so it makes sense to consolidate our approach in order to provide a more coherent package that will have enhanced capabilities, and ultimately result in a cost reduction for the end user."
