Similar workshops will be conducted in Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi over the next few months. Upon culmination of the workshops, the final 50 best entries, shortlisted through a rigorous judging process supervised by Prasoon Joshi, will be published in the form of a book of short stories for the children, by the children.

"After receiving an overpowering response at the Bangalore and Pune workshop, we are excited to host the third Write&Read workshop in the City of Joy. With this initiative, we continue to encourage kids to infuse their creative writing skills with their unique and vivid imagination in order to develop fresh and original short stories that we will proudly showcase to the world," said Naveen Kejriwal, Zonal Manager, HP-IPG.

HP will support Write&Read workshops with web-connected printers, which will enable children to interact directly with content on the Web via Print Apps and complement their thoughts with rich visual depictions.

"It is an enriching experience to be a part of HP Write&Read initiative and mentor a vast pool of extremely talented children. I am happy that I could share my experience with them and hope that it helps in enhancing their creative writing skills. I also look forward to the opportunity to guide children across the country and help shape their creative process to the best of my ability", said Prasoon Joshi

"As we continue with the journey of Write&Read in Kolkata, we will remain steadfast in our aim at cultivating reading as a habit amongst children. Our fruitful partnership with HP for this unique initiative towards creating books resonates with young readers mirroring their sprightly thoughts.
