  • (1888PressRelease) May 04, 2012 - Hound Comics, Inc. (Hound Entertainment Group) made a variety of official announcements on Wednesday April 11th, 2012 at Chelsea Manor NYC during the release party for their flagship brand, "Brimstone and The Borderhounds." William 'Brimstone' Kucmierowski, Hound President & CEO and Marcello Carnevali, Hound VP discussed the Corporation's major moves and projects including worldwide, power-play partnerships. One such partnership will be with the leaders in quality luggage and backpacks, Eastsport, Inc. in order to produce a line of Brimstone and The Borderhounds branded backpacks that include the popular characters of the Borderhound franchise. Kucmierowski proceeded to announce the partnership between Hound Entertainment, Eastsport and Guns 'N Roses guitarist, Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal concerning his new line of signature guitar cases. "We are looking to create the ultimate guitar case" says Bumblefoot. Guitar enthusiasts will be excited to know that all cases are being designed under the direct supervision of Thal.

Arthur Grayer, VP of Eastsport, Inc. confirmed that both projects are currently in production and all products are looking to be released worldwide by the holiday season to be distributed via major retailers as well as availability online. Hound and Eastsport will be running an ongoing contest for the next year featuring exclusive, one of a kind, hand drawn backpacks by various Hound artists. The first of which was created by Mina Sanwald at the Great Allentown Comic Con earlier this year. Entries can be made online at www[dot]Eastsport[dot]com/HoundComics - no purchase is necessary to win.

Sanwald and Eddie 'Luscious' Castillo (Hound Comics, Good Will Ambassador) announced the release of their highly anticipated, live graphic novel - all chicken cook book, "The Big Fat Book of Luscious Chicken" on April 16th, 2012. This is the first ever book of its kind and is available via BN.com, HoundComics.com and Amazon. The new releases kept coming with the new Special Edition of Brimstone and The Borderhounds based on Castillo's larger than life character, Luscious. Luscious: Riker's Island was penned by Brimstone himself with art done by Thiago Castro (Hound, Director of Graphic Design), Pipin Tobing, Matt Howerter and Sam Carlin. Sporting another storyline by Brimstone, stunning art by Sajad Shah and Thiago Castro, and cameos by Bumblefoot (Guns 'N Roses) and Low-Ki (WWE/TNA); Brimstone and The Borderhounds Issue #6 - Brotherly Love was the main focus of the evening.

However the event was a celebration of Hound Entertainment in general with offerings from all of its licensed properties including The Protector, Turbie the Turtle-Duck, The Peter & Angie Mayhew Collection, The Border-Pups, Kung-Fu Fairies, Hound Around Town by Lauren Ladore and M3 by Erica Schultz and Vicente Alcazar. M3, albeit already releasing Issue #4 to the public, will now be available nationwide starting at Issue #1 - Beginnings via Diamond Distribution as of May 30th, 2012. Blue Rocket Labs has also announced that all of the Borderhound series books are available on iTunes and the others are on the way.

Another announcement on the agenda was concerning the licensing of the Brimstone and Luscious characters for the Dirty Brand Organic Seasoning by Chef Ian Russo of Discover Dirty, LLC. The Borderhound branded seasoning will be distributed throughout Supermarkets across the nation later this year. One of the big hits of the evening came from the new official recipe drinks compliments of the good people at the Jack Daniels Honey distillery who created personalized drinks for Brimstone (The Brimstone Red), Bumblefoot (The Bumbleshot) and Luscious (The Purple Boa).

"The recipes have already begun to spread across the country pretty quickly!" states Etan Wish, Hound Comics Director of Operations, "I've already successfully ordered the Brimstone Red while on tour; it's incredible! We will be making the recipes available free on the official Hound Entertainment website for those interested." As of press time, it was also announced that My Burger Bar in Amhurst, New York has begun serving a Jack Daniels Honey 'spiked' milkshake called, "The Brimstone," based on Kucmierowski. The owner of the gourmet burger restaurant, Anthony Scioli states, "It's on our new menu coming out very soon. We've been running 'The Brimstone' as a special and it's been doing well… it is a really good shake!"

Over four hundred attendees also had the opportunity to see the launch of the new title sequence for the Hound foodie series, Food Hound: Tidbits - celebrity based restaurant reviews from around the country. Sponsors for this landmark evening in Hound history included a wide variety of supporters. The first hundred attendees received a backpack courtesy of Eastsport full of swag including products from Discover Dirty, Autodesk: Sketch Book Pro, Copic Markers, Yelley's Bellies, Pirate's Booty, ClubFit247, Bulky Boy Clothing, and a Hound Entertainment Limited Edition Sampler from ComicFleaMarket[dot]com. All Hound artists use Copic Markers and Autodesk: Sketch Book Pro. Brimstone and Luscious are endorsed by Bulky Boy Clothing and ClubFit247.
