Nominations are invited from hospitals in india under the following categories: Multispecialty, Nursing Home, Eye Hospital, Ortho, Cardiac, Urology, ENT, Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Diabetes, Dental and General Hospitals. To be nominated the hospital should fill nomination form authorizing HospitalExplorer to display the hospital name in the public voting system.
Selection of the Hospital of the Year 2012 in each category is purely based on the number of votes each hospital receives online through the voting application. The hospital that receives most number of votes in each category is declared the "Hospital of the year in that Category". The hospital that receives most number of votes overall receives the title "Hospital of the Year 2012".
HospitalExplorer.in will be promoting the poll in social media. During the voting period, nominated hospitals are supported with media kits through which they can invite votes. Nominated hospitals are free to do any kind of promotions to gain votes.
The integrity of votes is maintained by the following checks: IP Locking, Cookie Check and Email Confirmation.
The entire data set of votes received is made public on the website.
