  • (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2019 - New York, NY — Holmeswood releases his cover of Andy Gibb’s 1978 disco song “Shadow Dancing”. This is the second song from Holmeswood’s Gibb Brothers Tribute project following up to his September 13 release of the Bee Gee’s “You Should Be Dancing”. Haunting it’s way into the radio waves the week before Halloween, “Shadowing Dancing” is the perfect All Hallows’ Eve party jam rekindling the festive mood of 1970s disco and Andy Gibb with a fresh and edgy electro-gothic update.

Originally written by Andy Gibb with brothers Barry, Maurice, and Robin Gibb, “Shadow Dancing” is a disco song that reached number one for seven weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978 becoming a platinum record. In Holmeswood’s Gothic Techno version he collaborated with his longtime music production team to create his signature Industrial Electronic Dance aka Heavy Metal Disco interpretation of the song. This new interpretation of the song incorporates the sounds of heavy metal guitars, synth pads, string layers, backing choir and gothic bells. Production credits include Argentinian pianist / composer / producer Dario Boente (Antonio Sanchez, Ronny Jordan, Fernando Otero, Joshua Thompson, Pablo Aslan, Mark Whitfield and others); all vocals by Holmeswood recorded by and co-produced with Eric Jayk (Sandra Bernhard’s Rock Band and her off-Broadway Show, “Everything Bad, & Beautiful”, Wildstreet, Astra The 22s, and others).

Christopher Wood Holmes (a.k.a. ‘Holmeswood’), is an American pop-rock singer/songwriter, actor, artist, director and producer. In 2008, he made his live stage debut as the vocal performer “Holmeswood” at the New York International Guitar Festival’s “Bob Dylan Song Contest.” When Holmeswood took the stage at the legendary Bitter End on Bleecker Street in NYC he brought the house down performing a pop version of Dylan’s "Like a Rolling Stone". From there he was selected as one of the finalists to perform at the Arts World Financial Center–Winter Garden.

Stay tuned... Holmeswood’s third Gibb Brother Tribute cover song “How Deep Is Your Love” (1977 by the Bee Gees) is scheduled for release on November 8.

Holmeswood’s “Shadow Dancing” is available on iTunes, CD Baby.com, and all other major music platforms.
