Hitachi has announced the executive change and organization change. The appointments take effect on January 1, 2012.

1. Executive Change
Resignation [Effective December 31, 2011]
Yoshito Tsunoda, currently Senior Vice President and Executive Officer, President & CEO of Battery Systems Company
2. Organization Change [Effective January 1, 2012]
Hitachi will eliminate Battery Systems Company.
