  • Canton-Massillon, OH (1888PressRelease) March 16, 2011 - The Amish Door Village showcases a family comedy, "We Go Everywhere Together," March 24-26. The play, written and performed by 34 West Theater Company, will be at the Amish Door Village for a limited time before going to the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, S.C.

"We Go Everywhere Together" is a lighthearted memoir of life, love, and hip replacements featuring Henry, who can't see, and George, who can't hear. These two retirees set out to find love despite a series of mishaps and adventures.

Audiences of previous 34west performances may be familiar with the characters Henry and George, which were created several years ago for a Christmas performance. "Everyone identifies with the old guys," says artistic director Jeffrey Querin. "They're outrageous, yet sentimental at the same time."

The "old guys" have been known to steal the show as soon as they enter the stage. "It's often hard to keep the show going because of all the audience laughter," says playwright Stephen Baldwin. "It forces one of us to ad lib, which makes it more fun."

Along with the entertainment, the Amish Door Restaurant provides a lavish home-cooked meal, including a fresh garden salad and their famous Amish Door pie.

All dinner theaters are held in the Amish Door Banquet Center in Wilmot at 1210 Winesburg Street, US 62. Seating begins at 6:15 p.m.; matinee seating on March 25 begins at 12:15 p.m. Future performances take place April 28-30, May 12-14 and Sept. 22-24, with additional matinees on April 29, May 13 and Sept. 23. Tickets are $38 with discounts available for groups. For reservations call 1-888-264-7436 or visit www.amishdoormarketplace.com.
