The LOL Comedy Honors is a ceremony dedicated to gather in celebration of the many legends that have pioneered the art of comedy, while also honoring the comedians of today who’ve utilized their talents and creativity to entertain millions.
- (1888PressRelease) June 08, 2018 - New York, NY - Hidden Agenda presents the 2nd Annual LOL Comedy Honors, set to take place at Gotham Hall in New York City on Thursday, August 23, 2018. A black-tie celebration of comedy excellence that includes tributes, performances and, of course, lots of laughs. The LOL Comedy Honors is on track to become one of the awards season’s premiere events, attended by a who’s who of comedy, film, music, sports, and television. Some of the most prestigious honors are named after late comedy giants including Bernie Mac, Robin Harris, Moms Mabley, and Charlie Murphy. These honors are presented by the family members to recipients whom they’ve personally selected. The remaining honors are decided upon by the LOL Executive Team, along with the Comedy Council, a group of veteran comics who serve as advisors. Last year, honorees included D.L. Hughley, Lil Rel Howery, Luenell, Joe Torry and comedy legends Paul Mooney, Marsha Warfield, and George Wallace. This year’s lineup of honorees will be announced via Livestream next month.

The LOL Comedy Honors is unlike any other awards show out there. Not one celebrates the full spectrum of the comedy industry, from icons and legends to trailblazers, social media sensations, and even those behind the scenes powerhouses who have helped to build the comedy platform. This annual gala is a 2-hour event dedicated solely to recognizing the best and brightest comics past, present, and on the rise. Comedians are honored for their work in stand-up, television, movies, and on social media.
The LOL Comedy Honors remembers the legends who pioneered the art of comedy, while also recognizing those who have followed in their paths and are now blazing trails for the next generation of comedians to follow.
