Healthy Iftar and Suhoor Cookery Classes at the Holiday Inn Dubai - Al Barsha
This Ramadan, learn to cook healthy Iftar and Suhoor at special cookery classes being held at Holiday Inn Dubai - Al Barsha.
- (1888PressRelease) August 04, 2010 - Executive Chef Sameh and culinary expert Abda Oturkar will conduct two-day courses, each about the healthy ways of preparing Suhoor and Iftar. The classes will be held at The Gem Garden and each will be divided into two sessions over two days on August 9 and 10 or 14 and 15. Each class of two sessions costs AED 400 or you may opt to pay AED 100per session.
Mr. Reda Moukhtar, General Manager, Holiday Inn Dubai - Al Barsha, promises: "They are going to be hands-on, informative, interactive, fun and you will learn authentic techniques and recipes. Moreover, when you participate in these sessions you are going to enjoy great food, interesting anecdotes and fascinating cultural information."
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Abda's interest in different natural foods and their unique benefits led her to read Naturopathy, Ayurveda and today she is a self taught culinary expert who passionately does spice and aroma cooking. With her energy and creativity, she has taught thousands of students through her multi-class series.
When asked what would be her most important advice for Iftar Suhoor, Abda humbly replied: "Keep it simple. Since Ramadan is a time for self-purification and to contemplate charity toward those less fortunate, both Suhoor and Iftar are intended to be very humble meals to help remind you that there are those who go without food daily."
