  • Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) April 02, 2015 - At its recent annual donor recognition dinner, the March of Dimes Colorado/Wyoming Chapter awarded the HealthONE family of hospitals its first ever "Partner of the Year" recognition because of their mission and fundraising initiatives.

The recognition is a result of HealthONE's commitment to the March of Dimes mission to help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. In late 2013, the HealthONE family of hospitals and the March of Dimes partnered together on a public awareness campaign to educate expectant mothers that "Healthy Babies are Worth the Wait." Last year, HealthONE expanded its partnership with the March of Dimes to broaden the impact across the organization. Rose Medical Center, Sky Ridge Medical Center, Swedish Medical Center and The Medical Center of Aurora all supported the March for Babies fundraising efforts. Also in 2014, The Medical Center of Aurora collaborated with the March of Dimes to host a baby shower for 16 expectant military moms complete with donated gifts, including new car seats for all moms-to-be. In addition, the award recognized the recently launched public awareness campaign "Choose4Two" aimed at educating women on how to provide their babies with the healthiest possible start through proper prenatal care and lifestyle choices.

"It is because of the support that we receive from organizations like the HealthONE family of hospitals that we can continue working to spare families from the heartbreaking experience of having a baby born too soon or too sick," said Kathryn Marshall, State Director for the Colorado/Wyoming March of Dimes Chapter.

The March of Dimes Partner of the Year award recognizes the HealthONE family of hospital's commitment to the community and our focus on the safety and well-being of our patients.
