  • (1888PressRelease) April 04, 2012 - Honolulu, Hawaii - Hawaii Real Estate Investors proudly present John Riggins as our April 5th, 2012 Keynote speaker at the Manoa Grand Ballroom. John Riggins has been a legendary investor and broker in the Hawaii real estate market for many years. He has seen many changes in the real estate industry and will share his experience on how he successfully buys and manages his national mobile home business from Hawaii. He says his investments in mobile homes are like "metal boxes that keep spitting out cash."

    John Riggins began his leadership experience as he served in various duty assignments. As an advisor in Viet Nam, he was awarded 2 Bronze Stars for valor, Air Medal with oak leaf cluster and combat infantryman's badge. He also served as an Army ROTC instructor at Central Michigan University and evaluator at the US ARMY Ranger School.
    He decided to resign his Army commission and entered the real estate business in January 1977. Since entering the real estate business, John has taken more than 425 real estate courses and helped more than 3000 families buy and sell residential real estate. He has also provided broker's price opinions and has represented various lenders sell selling bank owned properties.

    John holds various real estate designations including ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CIAS (Certified Investor Agent Specialist), CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource) and SRES (Senior Residential Expert Specialist). He has trained some of the top real estate agents in Honolulu, has served on various committees of the Honolulu Board of Realtors, has been a director of the Honolulu Board of REALTORS, and has spoken at various real estate conferences, including the National Association of REALTORS Convention and CRS Sell-a-bration. He has been on the same program with Tony Robbins, Steven Covey, Lou Holtz and numerous other well known personalities.

    Currently John is the owner and head broker of John Riggins Real Estate. He currently controls about 50 properties in Hawaii and around the US including 3 mobile home parks and a mobile home moving company in Texas.
