  • Asheville, NC (1888PressRelease) August 20, 2010 - People who love their pets certainly know the experience of sharing divine love with an animal. Many have a strong conviction that their beloved animal friends go to heaven. They have felt that wonderful connection they share with these beautiful beings and understand that we humans do not have a corner on God's love.

These concepts are all presented beautifully in the book Animals Are Soul Too! by Harold Klemp, author and spiritual leader of Eckankar. This book is a key reference for the workshop by the same title on Saturday, August 28th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Resort from 1:45 to 2:45pm.

"If you have a pet, you are aware of the bond of love between yourself and your pet. This bond of love exists because you are Soul - a particle of God sent here to gain spiritual experience. Ultimately, to learn how to give and receive divine love. What most people don't realize is their pet is also Soul. Animals are Soul too."
    - Harold Klemp, From the introduction to Animals Are Soul Too!

The focus of this workshop is spiritual stories and discussion about the concept that we are all part of the divine and here to learn from each other. The co-facilitators of this workshop are Joan Horlbeck of NC and Mary Schebil of Michigan, who both share a special connection with animals. In addition, guest presenter Frank Martorelli of Seattle, Washington will share a heart-warming story of how a feathered friend changed his elementary classroom in a very positive way. This workshop is part of a larger seminar: Spiritual Tools for Mastering Life's Challenges, August 27-29th at the 2010 Eckankar Regional Seminar in Asheville, North Carolina.
