    Hashmi Herbal announced today that the first diabetes patient has commenced treatment in diabetes exacerbation study, marking the start of the Phase III clinical development program with this once daily dose, for this serious and chronic disease.

    Operating under a lean structure, Dr Hashmi, President of Hashmi Herbal, will lead this new operation, working closely with Mr. Singh, Hashmi Herbal Senior Vice President. The new unit will seek to leverage existing capabilities and partnerships and establish further in-licensing opportunities. The new diabetes treatment will assess the potential benefit of the combination of natural herbs and research scientific herbs the component products and existing treatments for diabetes.

    The new treatment will consist of range of natural extract herbs to determine the efficacy and safety of diabetes patients who remained uncontrolled on current treatment. The initiation of this type of treatment would helps to control the blood sugar level. As part of the agreement with Altaj Healthcare manufacturer of herbal products, Hashmi Herbal has obtained global rights to a number of diabetes treatment medicines that could, upon approval, be used to treat diabetes symptoms, diabetes causes and control blood sugar level.
