Hardin's Medical Center Hospital Center Expansion Team Celebrates Topping Out

  • Austin-San Marcos, TX (1888PressRelease) March 22, 2011 - Hardin Construction, one of the nation's leading construction services firms, announced the "topping out" of the $29 million addition at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas signifying the project has reached its maximum height.

    The project includes an 110,000 square-foot vertical expansion of the existing hospital including a new NICU unit and expansion of the maternity ward.

    Also included is the demolition and renovation of the Central Mechanical Plant including new cooling towers, chillers and an emergency generator.

    The architect of record is JSA Architects of Odessa, Texas.

    The project, set to complete in the last quarter of 2011, will give the hospital increased capabilities making it one of the premier Centers for Women and Infants in West Texas.
