Gulshan Homz organizes health check up and painting competition for children on the eve of Republic Day

- (1888PressRelease) January 30, 2013 - Noida: Gulshan Homz, a major realty player based in Delhi/NCR region, recently organized a painting competition for children and Free Health check up for women at their Project site of Gulshan Vivante in sector-137, Noida. The event was organized on the eve of 26th January, the Indian Republic Day and was aimed at encouraging children towards education and educating women on how to look after their health which due to the lack of money they often neglect.
Gulshan Homz, a major player in the real estate sector with projects like Grand (Indirapuram), Centrum (Indirapuram), Homes 121 (sector-121, Noida), Gulshan Ikebana (sector-143, Noida) and Gulshan Vivante (sector-137, Noida) has been making its mark in the realty sector for over a decade now. But this time they chose a different platform. The company in last few years have been associated with two different NGOs working in two separate dimensions. Turning life foundation, one of the NGOs working in tie-up with Gulshan Homz, works for Education for underprivileged Children which is the key in addition to which the NGO also addresses issues like healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights issues. Gulshan Homz in tie-up with the NGO has also established a small school at Gulshan Vivante (sector-137) for the children of the labour force working at its site, where the children are provided with elementary education for NO cost and are also provided with breakfast, lunch and evening snacks along with Uniform and all free of cost.
This work isn't just confined to one site only; Gulshan Homz also has a school for children of its labourers at Homes-121(sector-121) and is also planning another school at their new project Gulshan IKEBANA (sector-143).
WOW (NGO for welfare for women), another NGO associated with Gulshan Homz works for the welfare and addresses health issues for women. They educate and work for common diseases in women like tuberculosis, anaemia, osteoporosis, pregnancy and safe delivery, contraception, cancer and many more such health hazards commonly found in women. Mrs. Ritu Nagpal (wife of Mr. Gulshan Nagpal, the promoter of Gulshan Homz) has been actively participating with WOW for over years along with Ms. Nidhi Lal, Director, Gulshan Homz.
The event held at the site Gulshan Vivante (sector-137, Noida) of Gulshan homz, saw a huge number of children in age group of 5- 17 participating in the painting competition. The children were also taught about the history of celebrating 26th January as republic day and were seeing colouring different themes representing the nation's republic day.
In the free health camp organized for the women working at the site and also the wives and daughters of labourers working at the site was aimed at conducting Haemoglobin and Body mass Index tests and also checked them for any other diseases. All the women present at the site participated in the health check up.
Ms. Nidhi Lal, Director, Gulshan Homz talking about the initiative said, "Health is a an important aspect for women which they normal tend to neglect while looking after their children or due to lack of money hence we organized a free health camp exclusively for women at our sites. And education for children is what we feel is every children's right and their education should not suffer due to poverty. This is our way of looking after labourers, working at our sites and we been doing this for quite some time now. We have tied up with two NGOs (Turning Life Foundation and WOW) to enhance our working and continue doing such things on regular intervals. We plan to extend our efforts to more and more children and women in future."
