  • Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) September 02, 2011 - Group Z, Inc. ranked 44 on the Washington Technology Fast 50, an annual ranking that celebrates the achievements of the fastest growing small businesses in government contracting. More than 100 applications were received by Washington Technology, who reviewed five years of government contracting revenue to calculate a five-year compound annual growth rate. The companies were then ranked by that rate, which included revenue from the companies' prime and subcontracting work in the federal, state and local markets. "The 2011 Fast 50 shows the remarkable strength and agility of small businesses, who continue to post strong numbers despite a tough economy," said Washington Technology Editor Nick Wakeman.

Owners Anthie Zairis and Nora Presti closely manage the company, overseeing projects, operations and client relationships. Providing exceptional value has been the foundation of the company, resulting in long-term teaming relationships on a variety of information technology projects for the State. Since inception in 2001, Group Z has been providing Project Management and full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) services, with a core focus in Application Development.

Recently, Group Z has been awarded as a prime contractor on GSA 8(a) Stars II and GSA Schedule 70. An SBA 8(a) certified woman-owned small business, Group Z has also been recognized for the second year in a row by INC Magazine as one of the 5000 Fastest Growing Small Businesses in America. Strategically headquartered in the Neo-Tech Incubator of Howard County, Group Z's location affords easy access to State and Federal customers in the Baltimore-Washington area.
