With more than 22,500 cemeteries in the U.S, traditional burials also bring up space concerns.
If these biodegradable urns are buried in the ground like a traditional funeral or put in water such as a burial at sea, they can fully dissolve very quickly. Yet, in a normal, temperature-controlled environment such as a house, a biodegradable urn can last for quite some time.
Une Belle Vie's current collection of biodegradable urns ranges from traditional-shaped cremation urns made of clay, organic proteins and sand, to wooden boxes void of toxic finishes and plastic or metal hinges.
