  • (1888PressRelease) June 30, 2016 - With hundreds of invited patrons working out in Emancipation Park, GraceKennedy launched its 8th Annual 5K Education Run on Monday, May 30. The event began with an official, brief ceremony at 5:15, and wrapped with a robust workout session at approximately 5:35pm.

"We wanted to launch a little differently this year, and we are very pleased with the turnout and the participation of those who came out to indicate their interest in this year's event," said Group CEO, Don Wehby. The GraceKennedy 5K Education Run aids in the funding of education initiatives under the Grace and Staff Community Development Foundation in an effort to further the educational pursuits of students at the secondary and tertiary level.
