  • Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) February 21, 2013 - Grace Centers of Hope is gearing up to host its 5th annual "Boogie Bowl: Striking Out Homelessness" disco fundraiser on Friday, March 8 at Thunderbird Lanes, 400 W Maple Rd., Troy. The 70s themed event begins with registration at 7 p.m., followed by glow bowling from 8 - 11 p.m. Proceeds benefit the life-saving programs and services provided to the homeless men, women and children at Grace Centers of Hope.

    "Last year's 'Boogie Bowl' was a huge success and helped raise more than $12,000 for Grace Centers of Hope," said Pastor Kent Clark, CEO of Grace Centers of Hope. "Thanks to the wonderful support from the community, we are able to continue to give hope to the families and individuals our programs support."

    The Boogie Bowl is open to anyone 21 years of age or older. Tickets are $35 per bowler and $15 for non-bowler participants. In addition to bowling, each guest will have the opportunity to enter raffles and contests, including "Best Costume." Event sponsors include HOUR Detroit, West Construction Services, RGA Model Management, Proctor Financial, Gordon Advisors, Grace Centers of Hope Thrift Stores, Computer Support Technology, Gallant's Auto and Little Caesars.
