  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) February 26, 2013 - New Jersey's public policy landscape in 2013 is dominated by post-Sandy issues as well as the upcoming gubernatorial and legislative elections, and against that backdrop Gov. Chris Christie will provide the keynote address at NAIOP New Jersey's Annual Public Policy Symposium. The event is slated for Wednesday, March 6, at the Sheraton Center Raritan Center in Edison.

In addition, Senate President Steve Sweeney (invited) and Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald will participate in an interactive discussion with NAIOP New Jersey President Michael Seeve and Public Affairs Chairman Richard Cureton, focusing on key issues facing the state in the year ahead. Among the questions to be addressed:

•How will New Jersey ensure that Sandy recovery money is effectively deployed?
•How will critical infrastructure be repaired, improved and maintained?
•Will commercial real estate, still in a recovery mode, be protected from the imposition of the 2.5 percent COAH fee when the moratorium expires in June?
•How should New Jersey re-think incentives so that all employers and prospective employers benefit?
The program will also feature an update on what's happening in Washington from NAIOP Corporate VP-Government Affairs Aquiles Suarez.
