  • Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) May 18, 2011 - As part of its continuing pattern of growth, the noted Texas litigation and appellate law firm of Godwin Ronquillo PC is pleased to announce the addition of senior attorney D. Todd Parrish and associates Kena Lopez, Sarah MarDock and Daniel T. Zwart.

    Mr. Parrish, Ms. Lopez and Ms. MarDock have joined the firm's Dallas office. Mr. Zwart joined the firm's Houston office.

    Mr. Parrish joins Godwin Ronquillo from the Irving, Texas, law firm of Kern and Wooley, LLP. An experienced civil defense litigator, he has an extensive background in complex, multiparty cases. His work has included aviation and aviation-related products liability matters, premises liability claims, commercial disputes, trade secret cases, construction litigation and environmental litigation. He earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1994 and his B.B.A. from Abilene Christian University in 1990. He currently serves on the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Southlake.

    Ms. Lopez joins the firm from the Dallas office of Baker Botts, LLP. She is a former law clerk with the Tribal Law & Policy Institute in West Hollywood, Calif. She earned her law degree from the UCLA School of Law in 2004. While in law school, she was the managing editor of the UCLA Journal of Environmental Law and Policy and a member of the La Raza Law Student Association and the Native American Law Student Association. She earned her B.A. from the University of Texas in 2000.

    Ms. MarDock joins the firm from the Dallas law firm of Griffith Nixon Davison, P.C., where she represented construction industry clients in complex commercial disputes. While in law school, she worked for Sony Pictures Entertainment in Sony Pictures Classics Legal & Business Affairs. She earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2009 and her B.B.A. from the University of Texas.

    Mr. Zwart joins Godwin Ronquillo from the Houston Office of the Attorney General of Texas, where he served as a law clerk in the Consumer Protection Division/Environmental Protection Division. He earned his law degree from the South Texas College of Law in 2009. He earned a B.S. in finance in 1998 and an M.S. in accounting, cum laude, in 1999 from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to attending law school, he was a Supervising Senior Auditor at Grant Thornton LLP in Houston.
