  • (1888PressRelease) December 03, 2013 - HONG KONG - The non-profit Hinrich Foundation (http://www.hinrichfoundation.com), with the support of Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL http://www.globalsources.com).volunteers, will offer for sale gifts handmade by deaf and disabled Cambodian producers at the Hong Kong Country Club on Dec. 8, 2013 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, 188 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Deep Water Bay, Hong Kong SAR.

    In addition to selling handmade silk Christmas tree ornaments - wreathes, Santas and reindeer - the volunteers will offer colorful purses, shoulder bags, ipad case and waxed cotton bracelets made from eco-friendly natural sedge, cotton, and recycled rice sacks.

    "Every item customers buy helps to create meaningful jobs for less fortunate people in Cambodia, one of the poorest countries in Asia," said Alex Boome, Program Director of the Hinrich Foundation. "Through the Hinrich Foundation's Export Assistance Program Cambodia and the generous efforts of the Global Sources volunteers, we help enable needy but hard-working producers to earn a living through exports."

    One Hinrich Global Trade Leader alumnus, Hunter Liao, Marketing Coordinator at Global Sources, said: "This is my first time doing charitable activity as a Global Sources team member.
