Global Corporate Awards presentation ceremony held in New York
The Global Corporate Awards presentation ceremony was held on at Long Island Marriott, NY.Asian Indian Chamber of Commerce (AICC), India Business Group, Ajay Bohora, Amit Bohora and Ashok Sapra have been the organizers of the Global Corporate Awards 2013.
- (1888PressRelease) May 24, 2013 - In his welcome speech, the organizer, Mr. Ajay Bohora said, "The Global Corporate Awards is a platform torecognize, applaud and salute those achievers and leaders who have made their mark in the Global CorporateWorld!" Ajay Bohora further added that a global platform to recognize achievers has the potential to inspire many others to contribute towards a more progressive, peaceful and equitable world!"
The Chief Guest of the Program was the Acting President of the General Assembly of the United Nations H.E.Abulkalam Abdul Momen. He is also the Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United Nations. In his acceptance
speech H.E. said, "The world has been spending extremely huge sums of money on wars and defense budgetsetc. If part of these funds if used for peaceful means to help billions of disadvantaged people around the world,then the world will be a much better place."
Mr. Amit Bohora, the organizer, said that "The business world globally is struggling. With weakeningeconomies, inflation, social unrest and highly competitive market places, these are trying times. In such ascenario, dedication, hard work, commitment to excellence, innovation, creativity, and the spirit of leadership drive businesses and keep them going. And the individuals who continuously rise up to do so are no less than
heroes who save the world."
The Keynote Speaker of the Program was the Founder and CEO of the Giving Back Foundation, Mrs. Meera Gandhi (www.meeragandhi.com). It has operations in New York, London and Hong Kong. During her keynote address, Meera T. Gandhi, is a well-known humanitarian and social activist said, "We are to the universe only as much as we give back to it. It's important for the corporate world to provide helping hands to those in need:abused and hungry children, widows, the sick, the deaf and blind. She further added, that the Giving Back Foundation has recently produced and directed an inspiring documentary, musical CD and coffee-table book,all entitled Giving Back."
There was an interesting Panel Discussion during the Awards ceremony. The Panel of Speakers included:

• Raj Kushawah, Chief Technology Officer, Warburg Pincus
• Dr. Priya Raghubir, Professor, Sterns School of Business, NYU (New York University)
• Lakshminarasimhan Balaji (Head of Strategy and Planning, UNICEF)
The panelists discussed various Global Emerging Trends during the discussion and participants got their questions answered. Mr. Raj Kushwah said, "In everyone's lives, mentors have played a key role in giving directions to their lives. Achievers should also be mentors to professionals to have a real impact!" Dr. Priya Raghubir stressed the need for the achievers to really understand the mindset of the consumers, which are so
critical today. Mr. Balaji indicated that in today's world, the disparities between the developed and not so developed world needs to be addressed at all levels. The emergences of various technological developments were cited by Mr. Kushwah and Mr. Sugandha Rajaram.
Anil Bansal, Member of Board of Advisors, presented the concluding remarks.
