  • (1888PressRelease) November 02, 2012 - Global Intelligence Alliance (GIA) will be participating in the first conference on strategic market intelligence to be held in Seoul, South Korea on November 22, 2012.  Organised by Korean competitive intelligence consultancy and GIA Member, 3mecca, the conference will be hosted at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the nation's largest private economic organization, located in Jung-gu district.

    The full-day event aims to promote and develop the market intelligence function among South Korean businesses by drawing on global best practices and thought leadership from GIA.

    Markko Vaarnas, CEO of GIA, will be a keynote speaker at the event and will present on the topic of "World Class Market Intelligence". He will discuss the key success factors as well as a development framework for world class market Intelligence, and showcase some company cases. Vaarnas will also present some key findings from GIA's Global Market Intelligence Survey, illustrating how Asian companies compare with their European and American counterparts in terms of their organisation and use of market intelligence.

    In a separate panel discussion with Vaarnas will be Luis Madureira, former Executive Board Member and Head of Innovation & Intelligence - Central de Cervejas part of the Heineken Group and Daniel Cho, Director of Market Intelligence at Philips Healthcare. Other speakers include Professor Jaeyong Song, Strategy & International Management, Seoul National University Business School and Jinwoo Kim, Director of South Korea Intellectual Property and Science, Thomson Reuters.

    All presentations will be accompanied with a simultaneous interpretation service into the Korean language.
