  • Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) July 04, 2017 - A delegation of parliamentary, government ministry, and real estate industry professionals from Ghana visited the Water Street Development in downtown Naperville on June 30, 2017. The visit at Hotel Indigo was hosted by Marquette Companies and Ryan Hill Realty.

    The Ghana Study visit is hosted by the National Association of REALTORS®, Illinois REALTORS®, Mainstreet Organization Of REALTORS®, Chicago Association of REALTORS®, Dearborne Realist Board, Kofa International, Abri Foundation, Roosevelt University, World Citizens Consulting, and Ako Radio. The delegation aims to learn how to establish a regulated and professionalized real estate industry in their country. They now have a real estate association that is now looking to increase their ongoing training and regulation.

    Nick Ryan, CEO of Marquette Companies walked the delegation through Water Street’s eight year development, explaining the importance of ensuring compliance regulations with the City of Naperville, the many commercial spaces created to add businesses to the area, the boutique Indigo Hotel with its best-in-class shops, restaurants and over 500 parking spaces and other necessary information that will provide value to development of real estate projects.

    Ryan Hill Realty broker/owner, Teresa Ryan talked about the important role of licensed REALTORS® in bringing qualified tenants in for the commercial spaces. Mainstreet REALTORS and Illinois REALTORS will be meeting with Naperville’s Mayor Chirico and Christine Jeffries to discuss the power of local REALTORS® involvement with local economies. Jeffries shared on the importance of professionalization for outside partners, like economic development groups, and Mayor Chirico talked about the importance of the real estate industry to public policy and economic development.
