  • (1888PressRelease) January 09, 2013 - Online Career Advancement, a provider of academic preparation programs, today announced that its GED Institute is developing an informational website that will provide International GED test takers access to updated resources, references, and learning materials helpful in preparing them to attain their U.S. GED high school equivalency diploma.

The GED Institute website contains links to official GED high school diploma details for each State, and Countries which offer International GED Testing, from the American Council on Education's GED Testing Service. International GED testing was originally implemented to accommodate American citizens living abroad, particular members of the military and their families.

Since the International GED test is basically open to anyone, many people from other countries have taken the test as a way to increase employment and education opportunities upon immigrating to the United States. The International GED credential is the equivalent of a U.S. high diploma and is issued by the State of Maine.

"GED Testing Service is making significant changes to the GED test starting January 1st, 2014. These changes will also affect the International GED test. We expect that many more foreigners will pursue the upgraded International GED credential and want to provide them with the most accurate information possible to facilitate successfully passing the International GED tests," said Mark Robinson, OCA Administrator.

"GED Institute will continue to offer a much needed online resource for International GED testing and preparation information. The overall mission of GED Institute will remain the same; to provide easily accessible, empowering, and essential, resources and references to help improve the passing rate of domestic and International GED test takers."

Online Career Advancement's GED Institute website includes links to General Educational Development (GED) References, Resources, and Test Prep Materials from the American Council on Education (ACE), the GED Testing Service, Official GED Practice Tests Providers, State Departments of Education, Colleges and Universities, and other Adult Education Service Providers as Supplements to GED Instruction and GED Test Preparation. The website was recently launched and will be updated with enhanced information relative to the International GED.

"We have designed GED Institute as a supplement to other International GED Test prep strategies. Subsequently, we expect that many International GED test takers will be able to successfully pursue the GED credential by utilizing this website; and with no spam, at no cost, and ad-free" adds Mr. Robinson.

Adult GED education centers, career and employment centers, GED testing centers, others interested in the International GED testing program, and GED test prep service providers are encouraged to link to the GED Institute website. Online Career Advancement welcomes suggestions and comments to help improve International GED information available on the GEDInstitute.com website.
