Krasnow has been selected for inclusion in the 2011 "Guide to the World's Leading Media Lawyers." Published annually by Legal Media Group, a unit of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, Krasnow has appeared in the guide for two consecutive years.

    Selection to the "Guide to the World's Leading Media Lawyers" is peer review driven and begins annually with more than 4,000 questionnaires disseminated to senior practitioners and in-house counsel requesting nominations. The results are then tabulated and reviewed by both the publication and by several further sets of acknowledged leading experts before final selection.

    Krasnow counsels and represents radio and television broadcasters, tower owners, financial institutions and trade associations in administrative, legislative and transactional matters. He advises media and telecommunications clients on a wide array of issues ranging from new technologies to lobbying strategies. To date he has represented sellers and buyers of broadcasting, cable, tower and telecommunications properties in transactions totaling in excess of $21 billion.

    Krasnow serves as Washington counsel to the Media Financial Management Association. A former trustee of the Federal Communications Bar Association Foundation and past president of the Library of American Broadcasting, he served as co-chair of the Communications Law Committee of the Federal Bar Association; treasurer and member of the Executive Committee of the Federal Communications Bar Association; president of the Capitol Hill Chapter of the Federal Bar Association; and co-chair of the Communications Law Committee, Administrative Law Section of the American Bar Association. He is also the founding director and former vice chair of Broadcast Capital, Inc., a minority broadcast investment fund based in Washington, D.C.

    Widely respected in the media and telecommunications community, Krasnow has been inducted into the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council's Hall of Fame. He is also a recipient of the 2011 Ward L. Quaal Pioneer Award from the Broadcasters Foundation of America and the Media Financial Management Association's "Jack Zwaska Lifetime Achievement Award." Krasnow earned his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Boston University.
