Grenley joins as an owner, following 35 years in private practice. Trinchero is a senior-level associate who has practiced with Grenley for more than a decade.

"Litigators of Gary's and Paul's caliber are great additions to our team, and their trial knowledge and experience will be a great benefit to our clients. These high-level additions expand our range of litigation services in the Portland office," said Anne Preston, chair of Garvey Schubert Barer. "Gary and Paul also mark our seventh and eighth lateral hires in the last 12 months, expanding our offerings across all five offices and multiple practice areas. As the market continues to recover, we expect additional expansion that builds on our firm strategy of hiring experienced, outstanding attorneys."

Grenley focuses on the prevention, resolution, arbitration and litigation of business and commercial disputes, with special emphasis on securities, real estate, antitrust, financing, trade regulation and other complex business-related matters. With more than 35 years of trial experience, Grenley has successfully tried dozens of cases in state and federal courts, primarily in Washington and Oregon. Having won his first multi-million dollar jury verdict more than 20 years ago, his breadth and depth of experience has been critical in prosecuting and defending major corporate, securities and antitrust cases, many of which were certified as class actions.

An involved member of the Oregon State Bar, Grenley has chaired the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Section and served on a number of executive committees for the association. He also chaired the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Oregon Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Business Litigation Section of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. Grenley currently serves on the board of directors for the Court-Appointed Special Advocate for Children (CASA) program. He earned his J.D. from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College (1975) and his B.A. from University of Puget Sound (1972).

Trinchero represents clients in litigation related to securities laws, real estate disputes, legal and accounting malpractice and intellectual property and other commercial disputes in federal and state court and in private arbitrations. He also assists clients in registering, licensing and protecting intellectual property rights via trademarks and copyrights.

Trinchero is chair of the Oregon State Bar Securities Regulations Section and co-chair of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association Business Litigation Section. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College (2001) and his B.S. in genetics from the University of California at Davis (1995).
